Fr. Bernard Lowe, c.p.

Fr. Bernard Lowe, c.p.

Fr. Bernard is from South Circular Road in Dublin and joined the Passionists in 1961, was ordained in 1968 and has lived and worked in Glasgow, Mount Argus, Collooney, Crossgar, Kilmarnock, Botswana, England and then back again to Mount Argus where he has been since 2004.  He has ministered as hospital chaplain, retreat giver, formator, administrator and priest.  He enjoys reading (all sorts of books), birdwatching, art, nature and sometimes even people!  In 2008 he became local superior and parish priest at Mount Argus.

Fr. Ignatius Waters, c.p.

Fr. Ignatius Waters, c.p.

Fr. Ignatius came to Mount Argus 32 years ago as Parish Priest and Rector but because the community was so large (60 men including many students), he did not have much role in the parish.  Most of his life in ministry has been in teaching, including the formation of Passionists students, in Provincial administration and he was always longing to work with 'normal' people!

He went to South Africa in 1998 to do that but ended up again with students and as Regional Superior.  When he returned to Ireland in February 2006 he worked for a year and a half in Avoca, Co. Wicklow and for one year in nearby Wicklow town of Greystones, at last doing normal priestly work that he loves.

Fr. Ignatius returned to Mount Argus in September 2008.

Kenneth Brady, c.p.

Fr. Kenneth Brady, C.P.

Fr. Kenneth Brady C.P. joined the Mount Argus Parish Team in November 2004 as Parish Assistant and was reappointed following the Provincial Chapter in 2008.

Fr. Kenneth was previously Parish Priest here from 1980 to 1983.  Prior to his initial appointment to the Parish of Mount Argus, he spent many years in Belfast, the city of his birth.
