Our Novena of Hope in honour of Blessed Charles of Mount Argus concluded this (Monday) evening. The closing Mass was concelebrated by Fr. Frank Keevins, CP (main concelebrant) who was joined on the sanctuary by Frs. Fernando CP, Anselm CP and Terence CP. As Fr. Frank mentioned in his closing words, these past nine days have been a time of great grace here and, and as we wait in anticipation of receiving news of the date of canonisation of Blessed Charles, the Novena has allowed us to understand and get to know the person that was Fr. Charles. This has been made possible by the speakers who shared their perspective on his life and made it relevant to today. All of us move on from today with a deeper personal sense of the meaning that his life and hence, his canonisation holds for each one of us. Especially for those of you who have listened to these talks from afar, being unable to join with us in the church each day, we hope and pray that through this page, you too have been touched, that your faith has increased and that you live tomorrow with a renewed faith, knowing more now of the path walked by Blessed Charles when he reached the shores of Ireland 150 years ago.
