Meet Michael Dooley.  With the start of our “Mount Argus People” section, we begin with a face familiar to all who visit Mount Argus.  Michael is one of the faithful band of collectors who help at every Mass on the weekend.  Starting at the 6:15pm Vigil on Saturday, Michael can be seen back again early on Sunday morning, finishing at about 12:15pm before returning for the 4:00pm Mass in the afternoon and finally making his way home at about 5:30pm.

Collecting is in Michael’s blood and as far back as his Grandfather, the Dooley family has been part of the network of friends that make up the community at Mount Argus.

Michael has a wonderful memory for names, greeting most that come through the door by his or her first name and for those that require a little more assistance, he brings the personal touch that defines one of those intangible elements that make up the welcome people receive when they come through the church doors at Mount Argus.

Michael recalls many great days in Mount Argus and looks forward to being part of the team for a long time to come.  We certainly appreciate the work that he does.
