“No other action of the Church can match the Liturgy as an activity of the people of God”.
That’s what the Church itself says in its Constitution on the Liturgy, and this activity of the people of God is prayer, and prayer is our intimate communication with God. So liturgy is people praying, and good liturgy is people praying well.
The aim of the Liturgy group is to put prayerful planning into all of our liturgical celebrations. By putting thought and creativity into Music, Proclamation of the Word, Family Ministry and Church Environment (which includes art work and flower arranging), they hope to draw people into a deep spirit of prayer that helps give expression to the many facets of life and belief that are held together, the bits and pieces of every day, when we gather as a family of faith. |
