The Women’s Forum was set up by the Diocese in 1996 after the Diocesan Council of Priests had recommended that a suitable forum be set up whereby women could dialogue with the Bishops and priests of the Diocesed on issues of common concern.
Two representatives were elected from each Parish. Reports were submitted to Cardinal Connell on (1) Inclusiveness in Language and Liturgy; (2) Faith Formation; (3) Communication; (4) Compassionate treatment of those who are alienated and marginalized from the Church; (5) Youth. Although this Parish was represented on the Forum for six and a half years, we have no current representative.
