The Annual Service of Light took place in Mount Argus in November .The alter rails were filled  with lighted candles for those who had funeral masses from Mount Argus in the past year .People present also placed lighted candles for their own loved ones who had also died .

Eucharistic Congress Bell

Welcoming of the Eucharistic Congress Bell to Mount Argus


Friday September 16 2011 saw the Eucharistic Congress Bell visit Mount Argus.

At first it was received at Calvery and was then brought  inside the Church for a further ceremony.

The Bell and followers  travelled on  to some very important places in the parish ,The Russian Orthadox Church,Mount Jerome Cemetary and Our Lady's Hospice.

At each location a small ceremony was held.

Fr Frank's Birthday

Fr Frank Celebrates His Birthday

A small celebration was held in June for the occasion of Fr.Franks 60th birthday.On the night Fr.Ignatius was presented with a small gift for his own recent birthday.

Bunting, songs,music and dancing all with a Scottish theme made it an enjoyable night.

Pope's Pastoral Letter

PASTORAL LETTER FROM POPE BENEDICT

On Saturday, March 21, in Armagh Cathedral, Cardinal Seán Brady welcomed the long-awaited Pastoral Letter from Pope Benedict, promised by the Pope after his meeting with Cardinal Brady and Archbishop Martin when they visited the Vatican to brief the Pope following the publication of the Murphy Report into child sexual abuse by priests of the Dublin Archdiocese.
