Visitors from Munstergeleen in Holland |
|
Fr. Frank welcomed some very special visitors to Mount Argus this week with the arrival into Dublin of Fr. Harry Broers, Pastor of Munstergeleen Parish in Holland and birthplace of Blessed Charles, accompanied by one of his Parish Council members, Mr. Frans Veugen. For both of them, this was their first time to Dublin and to the Shrine of Blessed Charles of Mount Argus. Fr. Harry concelebrated the 10:00am Mass with Fr. Frank, reading the Gospel and afterwards, speaking to the congregation about Munstergeleen and the wonderful sense of joy that exists there because of the news about the forthcoming Canonisation. He spoke of the need for Mount Argus and Munstergeleen to be "in unity" as both places are so important in the life and the ministry of Blessed Charles. He received a very warm reception from the Mass congregation and aftewards, knelt at the altar rails to receive the blessing with the Relic of Blessed Charles from Fr. Frank.
